Life isn’t about the past and the future. It’s about today.” He paused. “It’s about five minutes from now and two seconds ago. It’s moments, you know? Not years. Years aren’t what define us.

Sucking in air, Heather said, ‘Fluffy—Mrs. Allen’s ferocious dog—chased me all the way down Pine Street trying to tear me to shreds with his razor fangs. I barely got away.’
Scarlet scrunched her face. ‘Isn’t Fluffy a Chihuahua?’
Still panting, Heather said, ‘Yes. A demon-possessed, human-eating Chihuahua.’

Two years ago, Scarlet awoke in the forest alone, afraid, and unable to remember anything. Lost and confused, her life was a mystery…until she met a boy with a familiar voice. Gabriel Archer has a voice from her past, and Scarlet’s determined to remember why. She immerses herself in his life only to discover he has a brother he’s kept hidden from her: Tristan Archer. Upon meeting Tristan, Scarlet’s world becomes even more muddled. While she’s instinctively drawn to Gabriel, she’s impossibly drawn to Tristan—and confused out of her mind. As she tries to piece together her history Scarlet realizes her past…might just be the death of her.

“Calm down, Braveheart.” Gabriel searched through the weapons. “I’m trying to find something not quite as fatal as…a scythe? Really?”
Gabriel held the wicked half-moon blade up and looked at Tristan. “What are you, the Grim Reaper?”
“Yes. Yes, Gabriel. I’m the Grim Reaper. You caught me. I drive around in my car full of weapons collecting souls.”

I’ve always loved Medieval Tales. As a kid one of my favourites were the stories of the Knights of the Round Table and if any one asked me about them I would force them to sit and listen to me recap the stories. Now it’s historical fiction and The Archers of Avalon series delivers my fix. Telling the story of a time transcendent love and the never ending search for the Fountain of Youth Chelsea Fine mixes Indiana Jones and Nora Roberts into one perfectly perfect series. With betrayal, unforeseen twists, and action scenes Fine will keep you flipping pages like a mad person to find out the fate of Scarlet Jacobs.
