Round Rock’s Nikki Loftin (Round Rock High School, Class of 1989) on Oct. 20 celebrated the publication of her debut novel for young readers, “The Sinister Sweetness of Splendid Academy,” a re-imagining of “Hansel and Gretel” with a modern twist.
